Sometimes a game doesn’t just entertain — it holds up a mirror.
While playing Expedition 33, I found myself constantly thinking about the story I’ve spent years building: RID OF YOU, my anime-inspired graphic novel series, which is currently live on Kickstarter, in its third and final volume.
Both stories are, at their core, about memory, longing, and the unbearable weight of the past.
But what fascinated me was how Expedition 33 takes a subtly different path at every turn. It asks what it means to confront truth. RID OF YOU asks what happens when we don’t.
That contrast — and the places where the two stories unexpectedly align — became the lens through which I experienced the game.
